The career path I want to do after high school is a petroleum engineer. I have always been interested in that career because my grandpa and my dad were engineers and I always thought that is a sweet career. I have been good at math since my school career and that is a big part of engineering. my grandpa is a engineer for the state of Michigan designing bridges. He has helped my with that and I have had a lot of experience with that kind of stuff.
If you think that the drill is a robot because it controls its self when it is in the ground. It stops itself when it reaches the oil and then the drill stops and the pump starts up and starts pumping the oil from the ground. The pump has speed control in it so it doesn't pump the oil to fast or to slow it does it at the right speed so it doesn't clog the pump up. That is the main use of robots in that career path which I think is very interesting,
There are robots that are at the General Motors factories that help out a lot they make all the vehicles and keep the people out of danger from the tools and the heavy metal. They were designed to make the vehicles at a faster pace and make a lot more vehicles in a day. Before the robots people were doing it all and it was too much work for people because they were getting pushed too hard but the robots helped with all that.

I think robots are anything that is powered by a motor or engine that is controlled by a person. It can be all different sizes and shapes as long as it is made of some kind of metal and wiring it can be tiny or giant. Some robots are super small that are used for picking small things up and the really big ones are used in factory's and other places that have big items they are making. That is what I really think a robot is.
One real life occupation is car production. They use robots on the assembly line making the cars and making sure they come off in one peace. Before robots were used they had people on the assembly line making the cars which was a lot slower than the robots that is why they crated the robots for the car production industry.

1st. Bio
Stephen Clark a.k.a Spock is a Junior at Mason High School. He is currently taking robotics class in first hour with Mr. Shoemaker. Stephen has had experience building and driving robots in the past. He has done a lot of programming with video games and has even made his own mini video game. He currently does not have a job but he is really good at problem solving and is good at all kinds of science. He has five first place medals from the Science Olympiad. This is his first time taking one of Shoes classes and he wants to learn a lot about how to build and program robots.
2nd Bio
Mason VanDyke is a Senior at Mason High School. He is currently taking robotics class in first hour with Mr. Shoemaker. Mason is 17 years old, he has never had experience with any kind of robots. He has never had a class with Shoe before and he was put in this class but he said he thinks he will like it. Mason has lived in the 517 his whole life and gone to mason schools since elementary school. If he had any super power he would have a long snout so he would have good smell and it would just feel right. If he had to choose between a grasshopper and a pry mantis he would eat a pry mantis.
3rd. Bio
Austin Lawrence is a Senior at Mason High School. I am currently taking robotics class in first hour with Mr. Shoemaker. I am 17 years old, I was born in California and lived in Michigan for almost my whole life. I have had Shoe for a lot of classes and I am looking forward to having robotics class and robotics club later in the year. I have had a lot of classes in the high school and would have to say my favorite teachers are Mr. Chapin, Mr. Shoemaker, and Mr. Filipak. I think this is going to be a good year.
